HP2C COCoNet

Additionally to the COSMO-CCLM and to the OPCODE projects, climate and atmospheric modelling has been proposed as one possible domain for network creation in the follow-up platform of the HP2C initiative. A HP2C project called COCoNet (COSMO Community Network project), lead by C2SM, has been setup to prepare for the PASC (Swiss Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing) call.

The goal of the project are:

1. Initiate the adoption of the refactored COSMO code by the COSMO and CLM communities.
   
2. Explore the possibilities to share computational methods with related communities.
   
3. Prepare joint proposals around the refactored COSMO code to ensure long-term support and co-design activities.
