Partner Institutions
C2SM combines the climate modeling and data analysis expertise of several Zurich-based institutions active in climate research into one network. The partners of C2SM are ETH Zurich, external page MeteoSwiss, external page Empa, external page WSL, and external page Eawag.
Collaborations
C2SM interacts with national and international institutions. Some organisations are involved in collaborative research projects.
National organisations:
On a national level, C2SM has traditionally been very closely collaborating with the external page Swiss National Supercomputing Centre CSCS. This collaboration, together with ETH Zurich, and the external page Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology MeteoSwiss has been the basis for cutting edge developments in the area of High Performance Computing (HPC), notably the development of the accelerated versions of the COSMO and ICON weather and climate models.
In addition, C2SM works closely together with the external page National Centre for Climate Service NCCS at MeteoSwiss on the subject of the Swiss Climate Change Scenarios, and with the external page Forum for Climate and Global Change ProClim.
