Model Systems

CarboCount CH combines two high-resolution transport models driven by the same weather prediction model.

A central element of CarboCount CH will be its unique model system combining two high-resolution transport models (in a Lagrangian and a Eulerian framework) both driven by the same mesoscale numerical weather prediction model external page COSMO, a detailed biogeochemistry model connecting the atmosphere and the land surface, and two inversion systems to estimate CO₂ and CH₄ fluxes.
