Climate change in Switzerland – represented visually
Climate trends in Switzerland show the progressive warming of the last decades. 2018 was the warmest summer period (between April and September) since the beginning of the survey in 1864. It even clearly exceeds the values of the «summer of the century» in 2003, as can be seen in a visualization by C2SM member Christoph Schär, Professor of Climate and Water Cycle at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science (IAC).
